April 29, 2026

As community banking continues to evolve, relationships remain at the heart of every client interaction. Cape & Coast Bank has appointed Christine “CJ” Conrad to the newly created role of Chief Client Experience Officer in response to rising client demand for faster, more seamless service across digital banking, deposit operations, the Customer Assistance Center, and marketing, aligning and optimizing teams that are central to the client experience. Conrad will report directly to Cape & Coast Bank President and Chief Executive Officer Erik Porter.

“CJ will make an immediate impact on Cape & Coast Bank as we evolve and align functional teams to create unparalleled community banking client experience consistent with our performance and growth strategy,” said Porter. “She is a proven and approachable leader who fully understands how all the elements of superior client experience – operations, digital, marketing and customer service – interact. As a longtime Cape Cod resident, CJ also has a strong understanding of the communities and clients we serve.”

Conrad, an accomplished banking professional with more than 15 years of progressive leadership experience, joins the bank from Middlesex Federal Savings, where she most recently held the position of Senior Vice President, Operations and Innovation. She has also held senior sales, marketing and customer experience roles at Martha’s Vineyard Bank, Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank, Capital Bank and Androscoggin Bank.

“I look forward to helping guide Cape & Coast Bank as it navigates the new era in community banking, including the increased adoption of digital technologies, while meeting and exceeding client service expectations,” said Conrad. “I am also thrilled to once again serve the community and region where I reside with my family.”

Conrad holds a master’s degree in banking and financial services management from Boston University. She also earned a bachelor’s degree in art from Bates College, and a bachelor’s degree in design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
