About Christine

Christine Murphy joined the Cape & Coast Bank Board of Directors in 2026. She serves as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Barnstable County Mutual Insurance Company, where she oversees a broad range of financial and operational functions, including financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, tax strategy, investment management, regulatory compliance, and risk management. She is responsible for maintaining a strong control environment that supports the company’s strategic goals, while also providing leadership across areas such as human resources, claims and underwriting administration, reinsurance, and board reporting. Prior to joining Barnstable County Mutual, Christine held senior financial leadership roles at Liberty Mutual Group, where she guided financial strategy, reporting, and operational oversight. She began her career in audit with Coopers & Lybrand and holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Accounting from Fairfield University. An engaged community leader, she also serves as a Director and Treasurer for Community Connections Inc.
