About Joel

Joel Shamon is a seasoned financial executive and transformational business leader with extensive experience in audit, financial oversight, and organizational growth. A Partner at RSM US LLP, he served as the firm’s National Assurance Leader from 2017 to 2025, overseeing one of the largest assurance practices in the country. During his tenure, Joel led the practice through a period of significant expansion, growing annual revenue from approximately $600 million to more than $1.1 billion while increasing the team to over 3,500 professionals. In addition to his deep expertise in assurance and governance, he has been at the forefront of emerging business issues, including AI-enabled solutions, cybersecurity, sustainability, and mergers and acquisitions integration.

Throughout his career, Joel has demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership and board service. He has served on the boards of RSM US LLP, the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) New England Chapter, and RSM International’s Global Quality Committee. Joel holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, completed executive education in Leadership and Governance at Harvard University, and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA). His combination of financial expertise, strategic vision, and governance experience has made him a trusted advisor to organizations navigating growth and change.
