Maison Villatte Falmouth
About Maison Villatte
Maison Villatte has been bringing authentic French baking traditions to Cape Cod since opening in Falmouth in 2012. Founded by master baker and pastry chef Boris Villatte, the bakery has become a beloved destination for handcrafted artisan breads, traditional French pastries, sandwiches, and seasonal specialties. Every product is made with a commitment to quality and time-honored techniques, including a slow fermentation process that allows breads to develop exceptional flavor and texture.
What began as a single bakery has grown into a thriving operation with locations in both Falmouth and Woods Hole. While customers will find many of Maison Villatte's signature offerings at both shops, each location maintains its own identity, with unique menu items and seasonal creations. From classic baguettes, croissants, and fruit tarts to savory quiches, sandwiches, and specialty breads featuring ingredients like cranberries, olives, and cheese, the bakery blends traditional French craftsmanship with flavors that appeal to the Cape Cod community.
Behind the scenes, Boris and his talented team work through the night to ensure every loaf, pastry, and dessert is fresh each morning. In 2024, the business expanded its production capabilities with a new kitchen facility designed to support continued growth and supply both locations. Today, Maison Villatte employs approximately 30 people year-round and grows to nearly 50 employees during the busy summer season, reflecting its continued popularity with both residents and visitors.
Maison Villatte's flagship bakery is located at 299 Main Street in Falmouth, while its Woods Hole location can be found at 22 Luscombe Avenue, directly across from the Steamship Authority terminal. Whether stopping in for a morning croissant, an artisan loaf of bread, or a classic French pastry, visitors will find the authentic flavors and warm hospitality that have made Maison Villatte a Cape Cod favorite for more than a decade.
