In 2026 Oceana entered an exciting new chapter under the ownership of the Heamer and Dey families. For years, the store has been part of their own story. As longtime customers, they shopped its aisles, and admired its distinctive style. The opportunity to continue Oceana's legacy was not simply a business decision, but a meaningful chance to preserve and strengthen a place they have always loved.

The family brings decades of combined experience in retail, merchandising, wholesale buying, operations, and business leadership. Jen Heamer and her parents, Bud and Midge Dey, first worked together in retail when Midge opened a gift store outside Boston in 1995.

When the opportunity to purchase Oceana arose, each family member stepped into a clearly defined role, combining their individual strengths to create a seamless partnership. Their collaborative approach, strong family values, and shared vision have been instrumental in guiding Oceana's transition and future growth.

While honoring the traditions that made Oceana successful, the family is also introducing fresh energy, exciting new artists, and carefully selected product lines. The store continues to showcase local artisans and photographers alongside nationally recognized brands, with a special emphasis on craftsmanship, quality, and meaningful connections.
